MTB 301: Intro to Jumps

This intermediate course is designed for riders who are eager to build a solid foundation for catching air (and landing safely) and who want to learn the progressions needed to keep that foundation growing. Students can expect to cover a vast array of skills that are needed to successfully hit jumps (kickers, table tops, step-ups, gaps, etc). Along with teaching you the foundations for a variety of wheel lifts and jumps, your coach(es) will offer progressive successions for many skills needed to ride at higher speed as well. You can also expect some “fun” homework so you can continue building and refining your skills well after the session ends.

  • Prerequisites for this class:

    • A desire to grow and refine your skills for riding mountain bikes at higher speeds and to get your wheels off the ground

    • You can ride most or all of the blue-rated trails you encounter

  • Click here to read more about how you can prepare for your lesson

  • Duration: 3 - 3.5 hrs, depending on class size
