Summer Camp #4: August 4 - 6
Overview:
Radical Ripper Summer Camps are all about fun, safety, and progression on bikes—while creating lasting friendships and growing our community of young riders. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider, we aim to inspire confidence and foster a love for biking that lasts long after summer ends.
Building on the success of our Radical Rippers after-school program (Spring and Fall), our summer camps are designed to take riders on a journey of progression, making sure every day is filled with exciting new challenges—both on and off the bike. Plus, we’ve got something for younger riders too! Unlike our after-school program (for ages 10+), our Summer Camps welcome riders ages 6-16.
What to Expect:
Expert Instructors: Our camps are led by certified, professional instructors who bring a unique blend of knowledge, skill, and enthusiasm to every session. They're not just experienced—they know how to make learning fun!
Trail Adventures & Skills Coaching: Riders will enjoy various guided rides on Galbraith Mountain, plus expert coaching on skills like cornering, braking, jumping, and climbing. We'll also use custom progression props to take skills to the next level.
Plenty of Bike Time: Our camps are packed with hours of riding—expect to be on your bike, building confidence, and having fun all day long.
Outdoor Fun & Games: Off-the-bike activities will keep riders engaged and learning in a variety of ways—whether through games, arts and crafts, or just playing outside. It's all about building friendships, fitness, and creativity!
Skills Development: Riders will work on essential bike handling skills such as body position, braking, bailing, pumping, wheel lifts, technical riding, slow-speed skills, bike maintenance, and more. We also introduce trail building and bike care (at select camps).
Inclusive Environment: We are committed to creating a fun, safe, and inclusive space for all riders. While this program has historically served those who identify as WTFN-B (women/girls, trans, femme, and/or non-binary), we welcome anyone who shares our commitment to creating positive, supportive spaces for all.
Small Group Coaching: We’ll split riders into smaller groups based on age, interest, and skill level, ensuring that every rider receives personalized attention and makes the most out of each day at camp.
Requirements to Join:
Bike: Must have a mountain bike in good working condition with hand brakes, a wide range of gears, adjustable seat post, and knobby off-road tires (no kickstands or bar-ends). Unsure about your bike? Take it to a local mechanic for a tune-up.
Helmet: A properly fitted, good-condition helmet (not involved in any crashes). Need a helmet? Contact us, we’ve got spares!
Clothing: Comfortable riding clothes and layers to adjust to varying weather.
Mindset: Come with an open mind, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn! Riders will receive constructive feedback and should demonstrate respect for coaches and fellow participants.

3 Full Days: $395
2 Full Days (First & Second Day Only): $275
